So which do you all prefer Fast Food, Gourmet restaurants, or Home cooked meals? Why? If you don't like home cooked meals, any good places to recomend?

I agree. I love Olive Garden, and Red Lobster, but home cooked is the best. fast food once and a while. guess it depends on what mood for food I'm in

I love home cooked meals and its much cheaper and healthier to eat home. But for resturants, i like Steak and Shake, Olive Garden, and Red Hobin. For fast food, i like Taco Bell, White Castle, and Wendy's. But fast food places are not that healthy and very oily.

I grab the opportunity to eat fast food any time it happens by me. I can cook my own home cooked meals, so even going to a sit down restaurant to eat something I could make at home doesn't exactly appeal to me. Now I'll contradict myself. LOL. I love Sonnick. I know, I know... I can make a burger at home, but there's just something about a sonic burger that's special. Oh god, please tell me it's not the little foil bag that the burger comes in. *snicker*

*giggle* Too true, too true. Many people have eaten at my house, and went on to live normal lives. Um, that does make me a great cook, right?

home cooked meals are the best! as far as fast food, it would be taco bell, wendy's, sonic, and whataburger. and as far as sit down restaurants, they would be chili's, red lobster, salt grass steak house, county line for great barbecue, TGI fridays, and ihop.

I agree that home-cooked is the best; I think it's even better when made from scratch and/or with fresh food. (My exception to that would be macaroni and cheese and Ricearoni *smile*, I love the boxed stuff(.
Second to that, for me, would be fast food. I like Burger Time, Dairy Queen, McDonald's, Sonic, and Whataburger.

for me it depends on where i am and what i have been doing. i love eating out as i love trying the biggest variety of food i can. fast food does have its uses whether been out working or drinking and on the way home you need shit to fill you up.
then on the other hand i have a line of very well established chefs in my family so home cooking is always a winner, glad to say the cooking did sort of reach me lol i do like cooking if i have time.

But, gourmet restaurants, um, apple bees, that texas road house place, lol, and .... does friendlies count? Because I love it there. lol. And fastfood, ugh, all fastfood places tatses the same to me. I just eat it if I'm really hungry

Home-cooked takes 1st place. Hubby is a great cook. I could never eat at Olive Garden; any Italian dishes they'd make, He can do better. For special occasions, there's nothing like getting pampered at a gourmet restaurant. If He doesn't feel like cooking, sandwiches from Subway or one of the many family-owned/operated sub/pizza places will do. Sometimes, we'll order in Chinese; there are many good options in this town.

I love semi-homemade stuff. hehehe I'm not into making my own sauces from scratch or making my own broth by boiling a bone or corn husks or whatever for hours. There are better things I'd rather be doing. And if I had someone cooking for me all the time, I'd prefer homemade meals all the way but I'm not that lucky. I grab fast food when I can because there isn't a place near where I can walk to. My sister's like why are you always craving for a burger when you come over? I make them at home but it's just not the same. I make my own fancy asian food but it takes forever so I only make it when my man is willing to help. Hmong food isn't fancy! lol And as for sit down places, we don't go as offten as I'd like to for money reasons but I'm cool with that as long as I get my monthly pizza delivered, I'm happy. lol My man's into chinese food which I am too but all that oil kills me. They even put yucky oil in the stir-fri! It always makes me wonder why they say American food is so fattening when I really think Chinese is. Omg! But Vietnamese food is to die for! I wish they had takeout here because I'd eat it everyday. And no. I only know how to make the simple dishes sadly.
What annoys me is friends who do actually make their own sauces and what not who needle you about trying it because it is so "easy!" But that's another story... lol

I've never had gourmet cook, ing, but my general take on it is that fast food & homemade food each have their place in the food realm. So it would stand to reason that gourmet cooking does to!

Subway and Olive Garden? OMG, Olive Garden's taraimasu (sorry for spelling it wrong) is to die for! *drools*! I have a boyfriend who is Vietnamese. He let me come over to his house and I tried one of their dishes, it was a soup with beef and noodles and a bit of pepper in it. I didn't like the pepper in it but everything else was good.

Gourmet all the way, how could you not go with that? Home cooking most of the time as I can't afford gourmet every night, and fast food maybe once a month. Chili's, Applebee's, Red Lobster, Olive Garden, etc are the bane of my existence and are the reason why Americans are so freaking fat and eat so much garbage.

i love to cook. so i guess homemade is best as it is healthiest and cheapest.

fast food i love five guys burgers and fries, chipotles, and popeyes. We don't have sonic around here, but when I travel, I love to eat there. Their milkshakes are the best.

for sit down chain places it would be applebees, ihop for breakfast, silver diner and red robin.

I love all kinds of ethnic and international local placews you wouldn't have heard of. My two favorites are a kosher place called pita plus which serves israeli food and a pleace called, believe it or not food factory which makes the best pakistani foods ever.
